Homeopathic Treatment of Heart Disorders

Homeopathic Treatment of Heart Disorders

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)

Everyone has a certain level of blood pressure. The pressure is required to circulate the blood around the body. Blood pressure varies during the day, depending on how busy or worried a person is. Persons have hypertension (high blood pressure) when the blood pressure stays higher than is necessary, even when relaxing and sitting quietly. At the age of 50 or 55 years about 40% of people have hypertension, therefore it is important that the doctor may advise his patients to follow the self care hints given below, and also about the risk.

RISK

  • When there is a family history of hypertension.
  • Overweight, and does no exercise.
  • Too much salt in the diet.
  • Females taking allopathic oral contraceptive pills, and some allopathic medicines.
  • Consumption of too many alcoholic drinks.

In case hypertension is not detected early enough or not treated adequately it can lead to:-

  • Stroke. (A blood vessel supplying the blood to brain is blocked or leaks).
  • Heart attack. (A narrow blood vessel supplying the blood to heart is totally blocked).
  • Heart failure. (Heart becomes exhausted and can’t keep the required blood circulating).
  • Kidney damage.
  • Eye damage.

Smokers are even more likely to have these problems, therefore the patients may be advised to stop smoking.

Usually there are no symptoms of hypertension until the continued high blood pressure damages certain organs. As it is essential to treat hypertension before there are any symptoms, the patient may be advised to have the blood pressure checked at least twice or thrice in a year. This can detect high blood pressure before the damage is done. Once hypertension is detected, the treatment needs to be continued for a life time.

SYMPTOMS

For years there may be no symptoms after the blood pressure rises. The way to find out whether the blood pressure is high, the patient may ask the doctor to measure it with blood pressure checking instrument or the patient can have a digital blood pressure checking instrument. This instrument will give the reading of blood pressure as well as the pulse rate.

If the diastolic (lower) blood pressure is over 90 mm Hg, and there is swelling on ankles, fingers, breathlessness, blurred vision, repeated nose bleeding, repeated morning headaches, then the patient should be treated without any delay.

REMEDY

  • Usually the high blood pressure remedies are required to be taken by the patient for the rest of the life.
  • If the person is not feeling well, the homoeopathic doctor may prescribe a remedy from the wide range of remedies available taking into consideration the totality of symptoms.
  • The doctor may advise the high blood pressure patient to take homoeopathic treatment regularly as directed.
  • Have the blood pressure of the patient checked regularly every 3 or 4 months to make sure the remedy or the treatment is acting well.
  • The patient may be advised to consult his doctor before being tempted to reduce or stop taking the remedy because of having no symptoms.
  • The patient may also be informed that usually with homoeopathic treatment there are no problems, but if the patient feels any, he should re- port to his doctor immediately for a checkup and necessary treatment.
