Biochemic Treatment of Male Disorders
Impotence
The inability of a man to maintain an erection of the penis and his consequent inability to perform sexual intercourse. It can be due to physical abnormalities like small penis or deformed penis or disease like syphilis, diabetes, alcoholism or drug addiction, etc. It can be due to purely psychological reasons like shyness, disliking of partner, too much expectations etc.
- Calc. Phos. Due to V.D. or masturbation; semen like albumin; hydrocele; sleepless till midnight, headache aggravated by touch (12x).
- Kali Phos. Due to V.D. or masturbation, darkness before the eyes: desire increased, but no erection. Mental weakness, irritable; (30x).
- Nat. Mur. Impotence due to over-indulgence; diminution or loss of desire. Semen thin; wet dreams: delayed ejaculation preceded by loss of erection (6x, 30x).
- Nat. Phos. Wet dreams nights together even on awakening: weekness; intense desire: loss of erection too soon after ejaculation (2x).
- Silicea. History of V.D Bloody semen, desire gone, itching on scrotum, bad smelling sweat (30x).
Spermatorrhoea
Involuntary escape of semen while sleeping or otherwise. Although not a pathological condition but may cause anxiety in young boys.
- Calc. Fluor. Constant dribbling of seminal and prostatic fluid, with dwindling of the testicles.
- Nat. Phos. Emissions every night, sexual desire almost gone. Semen thin, watery, smells like stale urine.
- Kali Phos. Nervousness growing out of excessive sexual excitement. Noctural or other discharges with the nervous indications
- Nat. Mur. Discharge of prostatic fluid. Pollutions, followed by chilliness, lassitude, and increased sexual desire. Impotence.
- Silicea. Sexual erotism, with paralytic disease Persistent sexual thoughts: often nocturnal emissions.
Masturbation
Manipulation of the penis or vulva for pleasurable sensation and to induce ejaculation of semen or orgasm. It is common in adolescents and usually constitutes their first sexual experience. The habit is harmless. It does not cause impotency, insanity or other disorders apart from psychological feeling of guilt.
- Calc. Phos. & Kali Phos. 6x alternately.
- Nat. Phos. 6x. In the place of Kali Phos. It much acidity is present.
Hydrocele
An accumulation of clear fluid in the skin that surrounds the testicles. The causes are direct blow or inflammation of the testicles. The scrotum swells up and looks like a bag filled with water and causes heavy dragging sensation. Against light it looks transparent.
- Nat. Mur. Head remedy; swelling, (30x).
- Calc. Phos. As an intercurrent if Nat. Mur. does not act.
- Nat. Sulph. If infection is present, complimentary to Nat. Mur. (30x).
- Silicea. For both acute and chronic form.
Orchitis
Inflammation of the testicles. Most frequently occurs as complication of mumps. It can be a consequence of such diseases as pneumonia, typhoid fever, or an infection of the epididymis. Chronic orchitis can result from syphilis or tuberculosis.
Testicles become swollen and painful to touch. Fever and chill are often present. Testicular atrophy is the main complication leading to sterility in many cases.
- Calc. Phos. May be required later.
- Calc. Fluor. Induration and hardening of testicles.
- Ferrum Phos. Orchitis after suppression of gonorrhoea.
- Kali Mur. Primary remedy if from suppresssed gonorrhoea.
Hernia
A bulging protrusion of an intestinal loop or abdominal contents through a weak opening in the wall. It is commonly protrusion of a loop of intestine or tissues through an abnormal opening Inguinal, femoral, umblical, hiatus hernias are common. Hernia on some incisional scar are also seen.
- Calc. Fluor 12x used with indicated remedy.
- Calc. Phos. Abdominal hernia.
- Ferr. Phos. Incarcerated and inflamed hernia.
- Nat. Mur. Inguinal hernia.
- Silicea. Inguinal hernia.
Prostate Troubles
Prostate is a male sexual organ situated at neck of bladder, secretes a fluid which carries sperms. As the age advances it enlarges in size causing obstruction to urinary flow with varied symptoms. Cancer of prostate is one of commonest cancers of males.
- Calc. Fluor. Enlargement of the prostate gland.
- Ferrum Phos. Acute prostatitis, congestion, irritation, retention of urine or difficult urination. Fever.
- Nat. Sulph. A useful intercurrent remedy.
- Nat. Mur. Prostatorrhoea.
